International Women's Day

The Naz Foundation (India) Trust celebrated International Women’s Day by organising a community event in Sangam Vihar for Young People’s Initiative alumni/Netball Club players and their mothers where they initiated a discussion about why it is important for women to use their voice, ask for equal treatment, gender equality and be economically independent through games. Apart from this, topics such as Gender Based Violence were also touched and how it is important for women to raise their voices. Alumni also took part in other activities to self-reflect and find their strength, interests, barriers and explore various career options as well.

The day ended with an enthusiastic netball game and a pledge that this women’s day I’ll start thinking about myself, believing in myself and expressing my needs and wants.
